TeamPPC — Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

Effective Date: February 26, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Penington Painting Company TeamPPC ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. The App is a proprietary internal tool provided exclusively for authorized employees and contractors of Penington Painting Company ("PPC", "the Company"). If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the App.

2. Authorized Use Only

The App is intended solely for use by authorized PPC personnel in connection with their job duties. Unauthorized access, use, or distribution of the App or its data is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, termination of access, and/or legal action.

3. User Accounts & Authentication

• Access is granted via a personal identification number (PIN) assigned by a company administrator.
• You are responsible for keeping your PIN confidential and must not share it with anyone.
• The Company may revoke access at any time without notice.
• Excessive failed login attempts will result in temporary device lockout as a security measure.

4. Data Ownership

All data entered into, generated by, or stored within the App is the sole property of Penington Painting Company. This includes but is not limited to: inventory records, purchase orders, field requests, job information, worker information, and any associated communications.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Attempt to access accounts or data belonging to other users
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Use the App for any purpose other than authorized company business
• Share, export, or distribute company data outside of authorized channels
• Attempt to circumvent security measures including login protections

6. Privacy Policy

Information We Collect

• Account Information: Name, role, job title, PIN (encrypted), and contact information as provided by your administrator.
• Usage Data: Login timestamps, request history, and actions taken within the App for operational and auditing purposes.
• Device Information: Device identifiers may be stored locally for security features such as login attempt tracking.

How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate your identity and provide access to the App
• To facilitate inventory management, field requests, and operational workflows
• To maintain security and prevent unauthorized access
• For internal reporting and operational improvements

Data Storage & Security

• Data is stored securely using industry-standard cloud infrastructure (Supabase/PostgreSQL) with encryption in transit and at rest.
• Local device storage uses secure, encrypted storage mechanisms provided by the operating system.
• Access to data is restricted based on user roles and permissions set by company administrators.

Data Sharing

PPC does not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Data may be disclosed only if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Company.

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you are an active employee or contractor. Upon separation from the Company, your access will be revoked and data will be retained in accordance with the Company's data retention policies.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. PPC does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Company is not liable for any loss of data, business interruption, or damages arising from the use of the App.

8. Modifications

PPC reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Users will be notified of material changes through the App or company communications.

9. Termination

The Company may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, for any reason, without prior notice. Upon termination, all rights granted to you under these terms cease immediately.
